FlexCam IP Video Surveillance Cameras & NVR Systems

FlexCam Video Surveillance: ECO, PLUS & MAX IP Camera Systems

FlexCam cameras are specified by Pixels-Per-Meter, not megapixels alone, so every tier delivers real identification detail instead of just a bigger spec-sheet number. Eco, Plus, and Max cameras record to T-Series NVR storage and connect natively to IBSSweb, tagging every access event to its video automatically.

The optical standard, quantified

What Is Pixels-Per-Meter (PPM), and Why It Beats Megapixel Marketing?

Megapixel counts sell hardware but never guarantee a usable image — a wide-angle 4MP camera can deliver less identification detail than a well-placed 2MP unit on a narrower lens. Pixels-Per-Meter (PPM) measures how many pixels fall across one metre of scene at a given distance, which is what actually determines whether footage holds up as evidence.

The Formula

PPM = Horizontal Resolution (pixels) ÷ Horizontal Field-of-View Width (metres)

ObjectivePPMOperational description
Observation20–40General activity or crowd flow in large areas — warehouses, public squares.
Detection40–80Presence of a person or vehicle — perimeter approach, car park entry.
Recognition120–180Recognizing a known individual's face or familiar objects.
Identification> 250Forensic-quality detail — identifying unknown persons or reading plates.
Worked example

A 4MP camera (2,592px horizontal resolution) covering a 10m-wide gate: 2,592 ÷ 10 = 259.2 PPM — Identification-grade. This is why FlexCam tiers are specified by PPM rather than megapixels: an 8MP camera on a wide lens can sit below Detection-grade at range, while a well-placed 2MP unit on a narrow lens clears Recognition-grade at the same distance.

4MP camera 10m gate width 2,592 px horizontal resolution spread across the gate 2,592 px ÷ 10 m = 259.2 PPM Your result: 259.2 PPM Observation 20–40 PPM Detection 40–80 PPM Recognition 120–180 PPM Identification > 250 PPM

Not every zone carries the same risk

Compare FlexCam Tiers: ECO, PLUS & MAX Cameras

All three tiers share the same Pixels-Per-Meter specification discipline and the same IBSSweb management console, so a mixed estate can run ECO, PLUS, and MAX zones from one screen and one video-tagged timeline.

Verify, Don't Trust

ASIS Technologies does not currently hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification for FlexCam. Here is what you can verify directly instead:

  • Coordinated vulnerability disclosure — a published process for researchers and customers to report issues, with committed response and fix timelines.
  • Standards-aligned engineering — built to meet NDAA and ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M requirements today, with cryptography reviewed against current NIST guidance.
  • Architecture deep-dive — a guided technical walkthrough of encryption, authentication, and network-segregation design with our own engineers, before you sign.
  • Buyer-commissioned penetration testing — bring your own testers, or an independent firm of your choosing, to test a deployment before go-live.
  • NDA documentation pack — detailed architecture and security documentation available under NDA for procurement and security review.

One ecosystem, one audit trail

FlexCam + WebENTRA: One Video-Tagged Audit Trail

FlexCam doesn’t operate as an island. Synchronised with IBSSweb, every physical access event is instantly tagged to its video, converting reactive recording into a proactive, searchable audit trail.

Access Event

A WebENTRA controller grants, denies, or forces a door event.

Instant Video-Tag

IBSSweb tags FlexCam footage at that door, timestamp-locked.

RAID-Protected Record

The clip and event sit together, protected by NVR RAID redundancy.

Searchable Forensic Trail

Search by person, door, or time — not by scrubbing footage.

This connects two systems into one: an access denial, a forced door, or a barcode scan all resolve to the same searchable, video-tagged timeline. At the enterprise tier, Geutebruck VMS governs this at scale — hot-standby failover, multi-site federation, and compliance controls engineered for the most demanding deployments ASIS Technologies delivers. Learn more about Geutebruck below.

The enterprise command layer

Geutebruck VMS: The Enterprise Standard in Video Management

Geutebruck is a German-engineered video management platform built to the standards that banks, airports, and critical-infrastructure operators require. As the enterprise command layer of the FlexCam ecosystem, it brings global site federation, dual-control governance, and mission-critical continuity to the most demanding deployments ASIS Technologies delivers.

Recording downtime isn't acceptable

Use Geutebruck when losing video during a hardware fault would be a liability, not an inconvenience. Hot-standby recording servers give mission-critical continuity and seamless failover that a standalone NVR doesn't provide.

You operate more than one independent site

Use Geutebruck when a central SOC needs total situational awareness across locations that each run their own recording. Global system federation unifies multiple sites into one view instead of one login per building.

Your industry mandates dual control over footage

Use Geutebruck when regulation requires more than one person to sign off on exporting or viewing sensitive video. The Four-Eyes Principle mandates dual logins, meeting banking and critical-infrastructure compliance standards.

You need centralized identity management

Use Geutebruck when VMS access should follow corporate identity, not a separate login. Direct Active Directory integration enforces password policy and revokes access the moment HR processes an exit.

Basic motion and alarm triggers aren't enough

Use Geutebruck when a deployment needs customized, multi-layered event logic beyond simple triggers. Its complex logic engine lets architects program automated, condition-based responses across the whole estate.

You're already standardizing on IBSSweb

Use Geutebruck when you want enterprise VMS federation without leaving the IBSSweb ecosystem. It's officially supported by the IBSSweb CCTV Integration Module, so video-tagged access works the same way it does with FlexCam NVR.

Geutebruck is the layer ASIS Technologies recommends whenever scale, regulation, or continuity requirements call for enterprise-grade command and control.

Frequently Asked Questions

PPM measures how many pixels fall across one metre of scene at a given distance. It’s calculated as horizontal resolution in pixels, divided by the horizontal field-of-view width in metres. A 4MP camera (2,592px horizontal) covering a 10m-wide gate delivers 259.2 PPM — Identification-grade detail.

It depends on the risk profile of the zone. ECO suits general observation and deterrence for retail, residential, and small-business sites. PLUS adds recognition-level detail for commercial buildings and public spaces. MAX delivers identification-grade precision for critical infrastructure. Applications needing ANPR, thermal imaging, PTZ, or an explosion-proof rating call for the specialized or EXTREME lines instead.

It depends on camera count, resolution, and drive capacity. As a worked example, 16 cameras at 4MP/15fps on a t032H-2 NVR with 20TB of storage retain about 38.5 days of continuous recording. Higher-capacity models such as the t064E-16 (16×10TB, RAID 6) can clear well over 100 days at lower resolutions.

Yes. Through IBSSweb, every WebENTRA access event — a grant, a denial, a forced door — is automatically tagged to the matching FlexCam footage at that door, timestamp-locked, so investigators can search by person, door, or time instead of scrubbing raw footage.

MAX Series cameras are ONVIF Profile S/G/T/M certified; ECO and PLUS carry generic ONVIF conformance. The full FlexCam line is NDAA compliant, and the ANPR camera (t9282) matches MAX-tier security coverage.

Yes. ASIS Technologies does not currently hold ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification for FlexCam, but supports buyer-commissioned penetration testing — bring your own testers, or an independent firm of your choosing, to test a deployment before go-live. An NDA documentation pack and an architecture deep-dive with ASIS engineers are also available.
