The AFR8600 Series is a fingerprint access control reader family — AFR8620W, AFR8631W, and AFR8631CW — built around a widely recognized three-factor combination: fingerprint (who you are), card (what you have), and PIN (what you know), used together or in any lighter combination per door. An integrated optical sensor, contactless smartcard reader, and keypad sit in one elegant housing, with Wiegand output to the WebENTRA controller and Ethernet for template download.

Iris Recognition Access Control: the iCAM7000 Series

The iCAM7000 Series is a non-contact iris recognition system that captures both irides automatically in one pass, guided by an orange-to-green range indicator and audio prompts — no touch, and no need to line up manually. It matches to the ISO 19794-6 international iris image standard and supports both 1:1 and 1:N verification, with an optional embedded contactless card reader for a second factor. Scan-reader capacity tiers (EAC500 through EAC10K) scale the platform from 500 to more than 10,000 enrolled users.

Enrolling biometrics independently at each reader is a security gap: without a shared check, anyone could register someone else’s fingerprint or face against the wrong card. Reader Authenticates, Controller Decides: the Security Logic Explained

No ASIS biometric terminal ever controls a door lock directly. It sits in the public area and only authenticates the person, then hands an identity to a WebENTRA controller installed in the secured area — the controller is what checks policy and releases the lock. If someone tampered with a reader, they still could not open the door: the decision and the wiring never leave the secured side.
