The PCI1612Bis a 4-port RS485 PCI communication card. It is compatible with PCI 2.1 bus specification. The PCI1612Bhas built-in surge protection and features that include high transmission speeds of 921.6 Kbps and four independent RS485 ports. It also includes the high-performance 16PCI954 UART with 128-byte FIFO to reduce CPU load, making the system more stable and reliable.
The PCI1612Bis especially suitable for multitasking environments. The PCI1612Brequires only one PCI slot within the PC and provides independent serial hannels. All channels are addressed in continuous 32 byte I/ O blocks for simplified software access. Additionally, all channels may also share one PCI interrupt. An interrupt status register is available for determining the interrupt source.
