All ACR160 series products offer full functionalities such that they can operate on Power over Cat5 (Poc) technology which provides for the transmission of power and data (RS485) over a single Cat5 cable. All are equipped with RJ45 connector, local support and termination for corresponding door accessories including EM Lock, door sensor and exit button.
The Power Injector Module (PPI) supports up to 4 units of ACR160 series products and each product is further capable of supporting an auxiliary reader—via RS485 or Wiegand communication interface—for easy integration to a wide spectrum of applications. The ACR165 has a graphics icon-based LCD display for language independent, user friendly interface.
Being so highly versatile, the ACR160 series supports multiple card types, including ISO14443 Type A/B (MIFARE/ CEPAS), and FeliCa (ACR161 and ACR165) and is compatible with IBSS2000 software and comes with several memory options.
